TRANSPORT AND ACCOMMODATION
LOCATION:
We are located in the mountainous Alpujarra region of the Sierra Nevada between the spa town of Lanjaron and the market town of Orgiva.
You will need to arrive in Orgiva by Thursday evening as the seminar starts at 10am on Friday morning.
There are many small hotels in Orgiva to choose from. The Casa Rural Jazmin www.casaruraljazmin is a cosy local bed and breakfast hotel with a lovely garden and swimming pool. This costs between 40 and 60 euros per night for a double room. But if you wish to have basic, clean and cheaper accommodation the nearby two star hotel Mirasol is very convienient and nearby to the seminar. However you may need to practice your Spanish to book as the proprietor does not speak very much English. The phone number here is 0034 958 785108. Rooms here cost 30 euros for one person for one night, 40 for two persons in one room (single beds), and 50 for three persons in one room (single beds). It is possible that similarly cheap accommodation can be found in other local hostels/hotels on the day on arrival.
GETTING TO ORGIVA:
Orgiva is 130kms from Malaga.
The are many flights arriving in Malaga on Thursday 22nd and there is one direct bus from Malaga bus station at 15.00hr to Orgiva. It is recommended that you take this and one of us can meet you from the bus and direct you to your accommodation.
If you would like to be met at Malaga airport (or if your flight arrives after 2pm and you are unable to get the bus) there may be a possibility to share a ride in a private car. The cost of the car is 85 euros, which would be shared amongst up to 4 people.
If you need to return to Malaga for a flight on Sunday evening you will need to be driven there in a private car as there is no public transport to Malaga on Sunday evening. If you stay until Monday morning the once a day bus to Malaga leaves Orgiva at 08.15 so you will need to book flights out after 3pm or book a private car transfer.
AIRPORT – Malaga
MALAGA (AGP)
